Kindergarten to Grade 4 assessments are based on ongoing evaluations, while Grade 5 - Grade 12 have systematic weekly quizzes (formative) and final exams (summative) at the end of term 1 and term 3. Term 2 assessment is basically focusing on ongoing evaluation to gain more time for teaching and learning and skills enhancement. Learning skills are assessed by two scheduled tests and one research project in core subjects.
The school academic year is divided into three terms, with a report card sent home and a detailed description of skills achievement is published on the student's portal after each term. The final report at the end of each academic year consists of the average of all terms.
As an American school we are using the following conversion chart to convert percentage grade to letter grade. This chart is also used to calculate the cumulative grade point average for high school (GPA).
