Dear parents,
In line with UAE’s National Agenda and the ‘Year of Reading’ campaign, we are encouraging our students to be part of any reading competition that might motivate them to maintain their love for reading as well as to develop their reading skills. Accordingly, we received an invitation from ‘The National Newspaper’ about a reading competition. Kindly find more details using the following link, the description they shared on their website (quoted below) and the soft copy of this letter shared on our website.
Looking forward to engage our children in reading for a better future.

Enter our #UAEReads Challenge right here, right now.
We love reading. And we love to see you reading.
That's why The National and Scholastic are challenging students in the UAE to read more and share their experiences with us through monthly challenges.
Every month we will have a brand new challenge.
And every week we will randomly draw three winners from the entries submitted that week and we will give out three collections of books:
English Primary - for students aged 4 to 11. This is a digital collection of 332 English books. The student and his/her whole classroom will have access to the collection via computer or iPad from anywhere for a whole year.
English Secondary - for students aged 12 to16. This is a digital collection of 323 English books. The student and his/her whole classroom will have access to the collection via computer or iPad from anywhere for a whole year.
Arabic Primary - for students aged 4 to 11. This is a physical collection of 200 books for the winning student's classroom.
Parents and teachers are welcome to help the younger students with entries.
Most challenges can be completed many times during the month to increase your chance to win each week. For example, the first challenge is to send us a photo of the last book you read, so you can enter each time you finish a new book.
A couple of our challenges will require the support of teachers and parents, so make sure you let your teachers and parents know you need their help to enter … when the time comes.
If you have any trouble filling in the below form, or if you have questions about this campaign, please email us at uaereads@thenational.ae
