Dear Parents,

It is always a pleasure to welcome you at the beginning of the new academic year with the anticipation of a fruitful partnership, cooperation, support and mutual trust that will be in the interest of our children who are the future of this great country.  You are a very valuable part of the Home- School Partnership and we feel that clear and effective communication with you is the key to the success of our shared goals.

We would like to bring to your kind attention the following:

School will resume on:

For Grades 5-12: Sunday 7/9/2014.

School timing:

7:30 to 2:35 daily except Thursday

Thursday: the school day ends at 1:15 pm

Morning Assembly:

Based on the school’s Vision and Mission, which emphasizes students’ patriotism,  commitment to cultural heritage, and religious values, students sing National Anthem, offer their pledge to their country, and  recite Quran during the morning Assembly.  Therefore, our students are requested to be at school by 7:30 am. to part of this important routine.

Grade 5 Students:

A reception/orientation program will be prepared to welcome G5 in the section. This program will be under the supervision of the Section Principal, Supervisors, Tutors and Grade 5 Teachers.

School Uniform:

Students are requested to respect the school uniform starting from the begging of the academic year.

Text Books:

The text books will be distributed at the GYM from 31/8/2014 to 14/9/2014.

The Use of Educational Tablet:

In an effort to make our school totally technology based, the school is taking the initiative to introduce Intel-educational tablet for Grade 7 only on experimental basis this year. The e-books for Mathematics, English, and Science will be downloaded on the tablets.

The school will be communicating with parents through our website as part of our efforts to save the environment.

Code of conduct:

Kindly refer to the code of conduct protocol which is available on this link www.ipsmamzar.com/communication, which clarifies the procedures being followed by the school in this regard. The school perverse the right to take appropriate action without following the steps mentioned in this protocol.

The International Exams:

The school will be conducting various international exams (PIRL-TIMSS-MAP-PISA.) These exams will test English, Mathematics, and Science. The data collected will be compared with national, regional, and international levels. Your child’s tests scores on these subjects will be counted towards his/her report card marks.

Parent/School Contract:

Students will not be officially registered at KHDA unless the parent signs the electronic contract.  Please ensure that you signed this contract.
